Tech Tips
Check out Edmodo to see how you could use this site to create an online class with assignments, grades, and blogs. If you are thinking of "flipping" your classes, this may be a good site to research. Best thing about it - it's free!
Great for recording a lesson as you create it on your computer. Create a PowerPoint and narrate as you go. Another great resource for those who will be doing more online with classes. Very easy application. You do not have to be a professional videographer to create a short (less than 5 minutes) lesson that your students can access anytime. When you download the application, the symbol that you see here appears at the top of your screen. Click and get the video application. It records what you are doing on the screen.
You can find these anywhere online. You may already use these but if you don’t know anything about them, you will find them easy to use and applicable in so many situations. Try creating a QR code for the virtual trip to the Louvre. Go to an online QR code creator (www.qrstuff.com is a good one), enter the URL of the Louvre Museum and print the code. Give those to your students to scan with a QR code reader (an iPhone app) and they are taken right to that site. Use it to have your students take a virtual tour of Paris, Montreal, Nice, etc. through Google Maps. Put a QR code on a poster of the Tour de France and have your kids scan for more information. So many ways to use the QR code generator. Once you scan the code, it stays in your history for future use.
Scan the QR Code above to go to the AATF site.
