Introducing Grammar with Interactive PowerPoint Presentations
Jean-Pierre Berwald of the University of Massachusetts presented samples of presentations he has done with his students using PowerPoint. Of particular interest was a travelogue using PowerPoint with video inserts and an audio file of actual GPS in French. Use your imagination to combine various media, including video, audio files and photos!

Technology Working Session: Talking Technology with the Telematics and New Technolgies Commission
Lara Lomicka of the University of South Carolina and President of the AATF Telematics and New Technologies Commission hosted a session that presented the goals of the commission and also accepted questions from those attending. This presentation, by Marie-Laure Hoffmann of Westfield High School (NJ) and Co-President of the New Jersey Chapter of AATF, had loads of interesting and practical applications for technology in the language classroom. SmartBoard Games and Strategies for any Level of French
Brigitte Debord and Lisa Todd of the Colorado Academy offered lots of very practical ways to use the SmartBoard in the classroom. Try changing the dice from numbers to French pronouns and adding a list of verbs. Mix it up for drills or bell work. Go to the Youtube site for lessons and ideas - there are over 100 lessons!

How to get started on your own Wiki
Find out lots of helpful applications at Google Docs. You will need to sign up for a Google account if you don't already have one.
Audacity of great for recording messages for your students or for having them do original dialogues for class.
Go to YouTube for tutorials on a variety of tech applications for your class. There are plenty of lessons on how to use the SmartBoard for starters. Just go to the site and enter a search for SmartBoard. There are hundreds of lessons. You can even upload lessons you have done in your class.
